Rice basmati declines on adequate supply
Press Trust of India New Delhi Rice basmati prices drifted by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on adequate stocks position against subdued demand.
However, other grains after trading in a narrow range in scattered deals, settled around previous levels.
Traders said a sluggish demand against adequate stocks position mainly kept pressure on rice basmati prices.
In the national capital, rice basmati common and Pusa-1121 variety fell by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,400-4,600 and Rs 3,600-4,300 per quintal, respectively.
