Rivers cannot be a bone of discontent: Bangla minister

"Rivers which flow between our country and India have witnessed numerous historic incidents and they cannot be an issue which may have the potential to be an irritant," Inu told a seminar on Indo-Bangla Friendship here.
He said that Bangladesh nurtured the intention to have peaceful co-existence with its neighbours like India.
"You can change your spouse, but you cannot change your neighbour. So is it better to maintain peaceful relations with neighbours," Inu said.
Speaking about the anti-liberation groups which totally opposed and disregarded the freedom movement in Bangladesh, Inu said that the persons were on trial and hoped that justice would be meted out to them in the near future.
