his supporters joined BJP here today.
The state unit BJP president C P Thakur welcomed Gupta, a former state minister in the party-fold and said his joining would help in strengthening the party's base in East Champaran district and surrounding areas.
An influential business community leader of Patna (City) Ranjeet Singh also joined the BJP at the function in the party officer here.
Thakur lashed out at the UPA government in the Centre for prevalence of corruption and stashing of black money abroad and said its pro-rich policies have disillusioned the masses.
He expressed confidence that NDA would oust UPA government in the next general elections and provide a transparent and corruption-free government.
