Roadrage:DTC driver bludgeoned to death with fire extinguisher

In yet another case of road rage in the national capital, a 42-year-old DTC driver was today allegedly beaten to death with a helmet and a fire extinguisher by two persons after the bus hit the bike of one of the accused in west Delhi's Mundka here.
According to police, Ashok Singh, a resident of Jhajjar district of Haryana, was driving the Delhi transport Corporation's non-AC low-floor bus which was going to Bahadurgarh from Delhi's Karampura.
"When Ashok reached Rohtak Road, the bus suddenly hit the bike having a woman pillion rider. Both the persons on the bike fell and sustained minor injuries.

"Thereafter, the bike owner called his associate and both of them had an argument with Ashok. The quarrel took an ugly turn and they started thrashing him with a helmet and a fire extinguisher kept in the bus," said a senior police official.
Police said that when Ashok was extensively bleeding and lost consciousness, the accused fled form the spot, adding that victim was immediately rushed to the nearby Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital where the doctors declared him dead at around 11 AM.
"We have identified one of the accused and launched a manhunt to arrest the culprits. A case under appropriate sections has been registered at Mundaka police station," official also said.

Police said that the body of Ashok has been sent for a postmortem.
Angry over the incident, drivers and conductors of the DTC staged a protest outside Rohini bus depot, demanding the immediate arrest of the accused.
In April, a bike-borne man was beaten to death by the occupants of a car after their vehicles collided in Turkman Road area of central Delhi.
