Roll Ball coaching camp before SA championship

A five-day coaching camp of Indian Roll Ball team (men and women) for the 2nd South Asian Roll Ball championship will be held at JRD Sports complex here from Saturday, Jharkhand Roll Ball Association (JRBA) official today said.
South Asian Roll Ball Championship is scheduled to be held at Dhaka, Bangladesh from September 11-14, said the General Secretary of JRBA, Chandeshwar Kumar, who has been named as the coach of the men team.
Kumar said the camp will be held from 6th to 10th September, where the players would sharpen their skill ahead of the championship.
Apart from the host nation Bangladesh, he said Pakistan, Nepal, India and Sri Lanka would vie for top honor, he said adding that Indian men had clinched the title in the 1st edition of the championship.
The Indian women team did not participate in the inaugural edition of the championship.
Besides Kumar, Monu Gupta was the lone player from Jharkhand to find a place in the Indian team. The Indian squad was selected based on the performance of the players, he said.
Following are the teams:
(Men)- Kakkar Shresth, Dhirendra Pratap Singh (Uttar Pradesh), Akhil (Kerala), Ajay Singh Choudhury, Kishore Kumar, Naman Choudhury, Sakib Ali (all Rajasthan), Rohit Ravindra Salvi, Akshay Sunil Kolpkar (both Maharashtra), Monu Gupta (Jharkhand), Anurag Mazumdar (Chattisgarh) and M Samivel (Puducherry).
Pratap Pagre (Mah) will be the assistant coach while Jeeva Raju (Puducherry) and M S Tyagi (Delhi) will be the Manager and team official of the team.
(Women): Sweta Bhagat, Aparna Tanazi Hazare, Aishwarya Rajeev Sawant (all Maharashtra), K Kritika, N Harshni (Tamil Nadu), Sonam Gaba, Poonam, Priyanka Choudhury (all Rajasthan), Kritika Chauhan (MP), Anamika Tyagi, Prity Rawat (UP) and Anjali Nayar.
Ashok Kale (Mah) will be the coach while Ramesh Singh (Raj) is named assistant coach. Ms Chetna N Harzai (Delhi) manager and Madhu Sharma (J&K) team official.
