Acting on tip off, GRP personnel recovered the money from the possession of Ghanshyam Bhagat who had reached the station to catch Rajrani Superfast train for Patna.
Of the Rs 10 lakh found from him, Rs one lakh was in the denomination of Rs 2,000 while the remaining amount was in denominations of Rs 100, Rs 50, Rs 20, Rs 10.
The trader informed the GRP that he was carrying the cash to make payment to wholesalers in Patna, the SHO said, adding the Income Tax officials have been intimated in this regard.
