In an embarrassment to the Vasundhara Raje government, ruling BJP MLA Ghanshyam Tiwari today termed the Rajasthan State Electricity Distribution Management Responsibility Bill as "dangerous", saying it would give the government power to "sell all things", like coal mines and sub grid-stations.
Tiwari criticised the Raje government over adopting the ordinance route on the Bill "when the Assembly session was about to begin".
Terming it as "dangerous", he said if passed, "the Bill would put all the things in the government's hands to sell, be it Chhbra power unit (Kota), coal mines or grid sub-stations."
He also said, "A feeder renovation program (FRP) was launched and Rs 10,000 crore was spent to curb the transmission and distribution losses but no fruitful result was obtained".
