Arvind, a native of Sherpur village in Janpad worked as a salesman at a liquor shop in Kakod town, SSP Gulab Singh said, adding that he closed the shop around 10 pm last night and slept inside.
However, locals feared something amiss when he did not open the door till late this morning and knocked the door. Failing to get any response, they broke it down to find Arvind's body hanging from the ceiling fan, he said.
Family members said that Arvind's marriage was arranged recently with a girl but he wanted to marry somebody of his choice. They feared he might have taken such a step because of this.
The body has been sent for postmortem.
