Bollywood superstar Salman Khan today defended his actor-filmmaker brother Sohail Khan, who allegedly abused a journalist last night.
Sohail allegedly abused and shouted at a scribe, who asked a question related to Salman's reported wedding with his rumoured Romanian girlfriend Iulia Vantur, at the Bandra club here yesterday.
The incident took place when Sohail was dining with Salim Khan and Helen.
"He (Sohail) didn't misbehave. I don't think he will misbehave. My brother was concerned about my father (Salim Khan). He was not abusing you (journalist). If you guys had behaved yourself this wouldn't have happened...Why provoking," the "Ek Tha Tiger" star told reporters here at the press conference of IIFA.
"What is this ridiculous statement. Why you want to find at 12o clock at night. Why you (journalists) want to know (whether) I want (to) get married or not," he added.
According to the "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" actor, the reporter stuck the mike in his father's face.
"My dad is 80-year-old. You can't come and stick your mikes in front of him. What if he falls... This happened with Sohail, please don't try this stuff (don't try this tactics) with me. My parents my family friends, especially my mother, Helen aunty and my dad.
"We are young people (and) you (journalists) can do it with us. You wouldn't like it if we do it with your parents (and) have some respect," he said.
According to Salman, just the other day, (when) he was coming out from the airport and one journalist kept a mike in front of his face.
