Security forces seize huge quantity of explosives in Jharkhand

The security forces seized huge quantity of explosives in Khunti and Lohardaga district today, police said.
A joint team of District Armed Police and the CRPF launched a massive search operation in the Gitilata jungle in Khunti district and stumbled upon explosives and other related equipments kept hidden in a bunker, which was demolished, the Superintendent of Police Ashwini Kumar Sinha said.
A powerful IED which was found was defused by the bomb disposal squad, the SP said..
In Lohardaga district a joint team of District Armed Police and the CRPF launched a massive search operation in Husru jungle and seized large quantity of explosives and other materials, the Superintendent of Police Karthik S.

The seized explosives include IEB (can bomb) 53 pieces, one number container bomb of 10 kg, explosive powder 50 kg, 15 kg explosives in liquid form, Karthik said.
