Select base metals declines on global cues

Copper, brass and zinc prices declined at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockist selling amid lower demand from industrial users on the back of bearish London Metal Exchange (LME) cues.
Meanwhile, copper utensils scrap, aluminium utensils scrap and gained further due to good offtake from consumer industries.
Globally, the industrial metal slipped at the LME in early trade, reversing hefty gains from the previous session which followed China's surprise interest rate cut, as investors focused on the uncertain outlook for metals demand from the world's top consumer.
Copper sheet cutting dropped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 450 as against Rs 455 yesterday.
Brass sheet cutting fell by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 337 from Monday's closing level of Rs 340.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armiture, copper wire bar and brass utensils scrap all moved down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 481, Rs 475, Rs 455, Rs 509, and Rs 326 from Rs 483, Rs 477, Rs 457, Rs 511 and Rs 328.
Zinc softened by a Re per kg to Rs 185.
However, copper utensils scrap climbed by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 432 from Rs 429.
Aluminium utensils scrap moved up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 138 from Rs 136.
Lead edged-up by a Re per kg to Rs 139.
