Services beat Maharashtra 1-0 in the 69th National Football Tournament for Santosh Trophy being played at Guru Nanak Stadium here today.
Services took the lead in the 33rd minute off a pass from Anoop Pauly, which was converted by main striker Francis Zonuntulunga.
Right from the first whistle the services continued to dominate the play.
Due to rough play from both the sides, yellow card was shown five times by the referee. Three players belonged to Services and two were from Maharashtra.
Maharashtra got two opportunities to score but failed to convert. Tomorrow Assam will take on West Bengal.
