At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March traded higher by Rs 100, or 0.25 per cent, to Rs 39,419 per kg, in a business turnover of 140 lots.
Also, the white metal for delivery in May rose by Rs 92, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 39,913 per kg in two lots.
In the international market, silver fell 0.17 per cent to USD 17.27 an ounce in Singapore today.
Market analysts said raising of bets by participants helped silver prices to go up in futures trade here but a weak trend in the precious metals overseas after the US Federal Reserve decided to keep rates unchanged, restricted the gains.
