In a major breakthrough in the case where five members of a family were murdered on June 21, five accused were arrested from different places in Kishangarh, while the mastermind was arrested from Jodhpur in the last two days, they said.
Although the motive behind the murders is yet to be ascertained, preliminary investigation reveal it to be a case of contract killing, they said.
The mastermind identified as Bhavesh alias Bunty is believed to have been given a contract to kill Dharmendra Sindhi while the rest were killed to eliminate eyewitness, they added.
A girl identified as Sunita, who was not a part of Dharmendra's family was also found murdered and is said to be the cause of this incident.
"All of them arrived at Dharmendra's house where they had a heated argument with him following which all the family members were killed within next twenty minutes," police said.
Dharmendra's grand daughter Kashish, the only survivor who lay unconscious was the only link in this case. Based on her statement and Dharmendra's call details, the police nabbed the accused.
