Small sugar gains on good demand

Small sugar prices gained at the Vashi wholesale market here today good demand from stockists and bulk consumers.
While, medium sugar maintained a steady trend in the absence of any worthwhile buying.
Small sugar (S-3) rose Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 2,650/ 2,792 from last Tuesday's closing level of Rs 2,650/2,782.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,650/2,792 (Rs 2,650/2,782).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,760/2,911 (Rs 2,760/2,911).
