"The service known as Smart-E will provide a safe, sustainable and professionally managed last mile connectivity service, especially to and from metro stations and other high-footfall areas. The first batch of 30 all-women-piloted electric three-wheeled vehicles has been launched," an official statement said.
The service was flagged off by Sanjay Sain, DSP, Traffic at Madipur metro station. The vehicles have integrated CCTV cameras and other safety features such as GPS tracking and SOS services.
"The Treasure Vase Ventures (TVV) which has launched the vehicles also intends to make a Smart-E Locator and Book-A-Seat app in the near future for greater convenience of the residents," it said.
