Spices recover on renewed demand

Black pepper and ginger unbleached prices recovered in an otherwise listless spices market here today following renewed demand from stockists and retailers.

Meanwhile, copra prices ruled steady in absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

Black pepper rose by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 390/450 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 380/440.

Ginger unbleached moved up by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 121 as against Rs 118 yesterday.
