Rahi, 60, was jailed for 18 years in Pakistan on charges of spying.
The family of Rahi has refused to cremate him till their demands are met.

Rahi was said to be debt-ridden. He was admitted to Guru Ram Dass hospital in Amritsar, but his family was unable to bear his treatment expenses and they brought him back without medical assistance.
He was cremated at his native Khehra village after an assurance to provide a government job and financial assistance by Additional Deputy Commissioner Jagwinderjit Singh Grewal.
Rahi is survived by his wife Sawinder Kaur and son Ranjit Singh.
