In reply, Sri Lanka scored 148 for seven in 19.5 overs with skipper Shashikala Siriwardene scoring 52 off 39 balls. Chamari Polgumpala hit a quickfire 19 off 16 balls as the island women won the match with a ball to spare.
Veteran pacer Jhulan Goswami was hammered for 35 runs in four overs. The final over was given to all-rounder Amita Sharma who gave away seven runs with the winning hit coming off the penultimate delivery.
