Steps at ground level needed to clean ganga: Jaiswal

Hitting out at the centre's ambitious Namami Gange programme, Former Union minister Sriprakash Jaiswal today asserted that Ganga will not be cleaned unless the initiatives are taken on the ground level.
The Ganga which is getting polluted every day will not be cleaned by just "mere utterances" of Union ministers, unless strong meaures are taken to clean the river, Jaiswal said here.
He was speaking at a programme oraganised to dicuss what the city achieved in one year of Modi government.
The NDA government launched Namami Gange programme but has done nothing to clean the river, the former Congress MP said.
