Singer Demi Lovato says she has grown tired of the hype created around the word twerking and wishes it vanishes soon.
The 21-year-old former Disney star took to Twitter to express her disappointment with the excessive use of the word that has been in news constantly ever since pop star Miley Cyrus's controversial MTV Video Music Award performance, reported E! online.
"Can the world stop talking about twerking please? By the way- no shade thrown... The term twerking just needs to disappear like the word swag does too. I just don't know what happened to the word 'dancing'...," Lovato tweeted.
Cyrus has been highly criticised for her tongue waging and twerky performance with Robin Thicke on 'Blurred Lines' at the MTV Video Music Awards recently.
Post her performance, a lot is being said about the word 'Twerking' with it even making to Oxford dictionary. PTI VAG.
