Students of Motihari Engineering College are on fast demanding better academic facilities, including quality teachers.
Three protesting students were rushed to the sadar hospital for treatment, while two girl students were administered glucose at the venue of the strike, hospital sources said adding the blood pressure of some other fasting students was fast deteriorating.
Officer on Special Duty of the college A K Mishra and block development officer Manoj Kumar are negotiating with the agitating students to convince them to call of stir.
A Representative of the students, Vipin Kumar said they were left with no option but to resort to the hunger strike as the authorities did not pay heed to their plights like scarcity of teachers, shortage of books and related materials in the library.
