There would no paucity of funds for completing the projects, he told mediapersons here.

The Deputy Chief Minister directed the district administration to be accountable to the public.

He enquired about the current status of projects like potable water, sewerage system, flyover constructions, PODS train project, tree plantation, renovation of public parks and street lights.

During a meeting with the senior police officers, Badal directed them to control the crime situation including snatching incidents and drug trafficking.

He also warned against illegal use of red beacons atop vehicles while issuing directions to police to impound them.

Regarding the PODS train project, Sukhbir said the work on this would begin soon.

The train project is aimed at facilitating pilgrims to reach the Golden Temple directly from the railway station or the city bus stand bypassing the road route.
