A senior statistician with the BCCI told PTI that neither individual performances nor team scores in these one-over eliminators get added to the overall statistics of the tournament.
"We just mention that Kings XI beat Rajasthan Royals in the Super Over. The team scores are not added to the net run-rate of the competing teams. The individual performances also do not get added up," he explained.
In the "Super Over" tie-break, Kings XI scored 15 for 2 and then took two of their rivals' wickets in four legal deliveries conceding only six runs to bring to an end the thrilling contest and also inflict on Royals their first defeat in six games.
