State-run hydropower company Sutlej Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) would construct toilets in 350 schools located in its project areas in 2014-15 under a campaign in line with the government's 'Swachh Bharat' mission.
Launching the campaign by laying the foundation stones of toilets in 30 schools in the first phase, SJVN's Director (Personnel) N L Sharma said 344 of these schools were located in Shimla district while six others are in Kullu district.
Out of the 30 schools where toilets will be constructed in the first phase, 10 each were in the project areas of Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station, Rampur Hydro Power Station and Luhri Hydro Electric Project in Himachal Pradesh.
