"We (Sena and BJP) will discuss the seat sharing after finalising the seat allocation for our other partners like the RPI-A, Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana, RSP (Rashtriya Samaj Paksha) and Loksangram," Eknath Khadse, Leader of Opposition in Assembly, told reporters here.
Asked if BJP was firm on its demand for 144 of the 288 Assembly seats, Khadse said, "What we have been saying is that BJP and Sena should contest half the seats remaining after allocation to our other partners."
On his first visit to Mumbai on September 4 after taking over as the BJP president, Shah drove to Matoshree, the Thackeray family residence in suburban Bandra and met Uddhav.
"Amit Shah has given us guidelines for the Assembly polls and we will take all efforts to dethrone the Congress-NCP government," Khadse said.
The senior BJP leader also welcomed former Congress MP from Osmanabad Vitthal Kamble and former Congress legislator from Satara Sadabhau Sapkal into BJP.
