College Principal Chandrima Bhattacharya also confirmed the development and said "I have submitted a written complaint against the attackers and lodged complaint with the Superintendent of Police and District Magistrate.
"I failed to contact Education Minister Partha Chatterjee over phone but will lodge written complaint by tonight," the Principal added.
The college Governing body election is scheduled to take place on August 31 to elect 4 teachers and 2 non-teaching staff.
"One of them even whipped out a revolver and directed it towards my head and as some other teachers rushed into the room on hearing commotion, they left. They were not our students," he said.
Some other teachers alleged of being similarly threatened.
The Principal further alleged the outsiders issued threats to stop an emergency meeting at her chamber and insisted on includiing some of their chosen candidates in the GB.
The majority TMCP student's union in the college said none of it's activists were involved.
