The incident occurred when the toddler's parents, both daily wage labourers, were away at work yesterday.
The child was at home with her three-year-old sister when the 17-year-old boy sexually assaulted her, they said.
The girl told her parents of it when they returned, following which they filed a complaint and the boy was arrested, they said.
