Thieves strike at Moolchand hospital IVF lab

A robbery occurred at the In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) laboratory of a south Delhi hospital with thieves stealing medical equipment and fluids used in the infertility treatment technique, police said.
The theft took place at Moolchand Medcity hospital in the Lajpat Nagar area and came to light on Saturday when a technician opened the lab at around 9 A.M. And found some items missing.
Thereafter, hospital authorities made a PCR call at around 2 P.M. And a case of theft was lodged by the HR manager.
In the complaint, HR manager Suroshree Banerjee told police that the lab was closed by another technician, identified as Amit, at around 5 P.M. On Friday. She also told police that they tally the inventory of the lab on a regular basis.
"We have registered a case of theft at Lajpat Nagar police station and investigations are underway," said a police officer.
