BJP national secretary H Raja today said those who disrespect the Indian Constitution and the national flag had no right to remain in the country and were free to move out.
Some of the JNU students raised anti-national slogans as they wanted to divide the country, he told reporters here.
They also celebrated the death anniversary of terrorist Afzal Guru and sang in praise of "separatist" S A R Geelani, he alleged.
"Such persons have no right to remain in India and should go out of the country," Raja said.
The BJP leader was responding to a question about the debate on the decision to hoist the national flag in all central universities taken against the backdrop of the alleged anti-India protest in Jawaharlal Nehru University.
H Raja said the ongoing debate on hoisting the tricolour in educational institutions, as seen in various news channels, was "not necessary and inappropriate."
On the issue of BJP's alliance for coming Tamil Nadu assembly elections, he said it was yet to be finalised and would be announced in a few days.
Raja accused the AIADMK government of not carrying out any development work, including linking of rivers.
