"Political parties which looted the state for 15 years, criminalised politics and politicised criminals are not liking the state's march into a new era of development," Adityanath, who was here to distribute relief material in flood-hit Singhni village, said.
Without naming any party, he claimed that opposition parties fear that if the state continues to march ahead, their politics of caste and family will be under threat.
"The days of political parties indulging in politics of caste and family are over ...They are creating hurdles in development and other works," he said.
"Such elements are dangerous for the society...Because of them questions are raised on the system ..The officials have been told that if they are not able to control such elements they have no right to remain in service," he said.
Just when the chief minister was speaking about a recent murder case of a young girl, two student leaders broke the security cordon and waved black flags and raised slogans against him. They were, however, immediately overpowered by policemen on duty.
Speaking on the flood situation, Adityanath said that a workplan for dealing with it on a permanent basis has been prepared and submitted to the Centre.
"Flood is not a calamity which cannot be checked but massive preparations will have to be done for it," he said, adding that ministers incharges are overlooking the distribution of relief and rescue operations in the affected districts.
Air Force choppers are being used to drop food packets and extending relief to the affected people, he said.
He instructed the officials to prepare a list on a priority basis of those whose houses and crops have been damaged so that they can be extended timely help.
Adityanath said that 25 districts have been hit by floods in the state.
In Azamgarh, Adityanath distributed flood relief material to 25 persons, and also gave financial assistance to people who had lost their kin in the flood.
