Three arrested for selling spurious auto parts

The three were arrested following raids at their shops in in Karol Bagh after police received information about a racket involved in selling of duplicate auto parts of Bosch India Limited, a police official said.

The arrested were Mohinder Kumar Mahajan, 54, resident of east Patel nagar, Kapil Charnliya, 26 and Sanjeev Dhingra, 36, both residents of Rohtak, were arrested.

During interrogation, the three said they used to get spurious parts from a man named Jatin.

One of the accused, Sanjeev said that he came in contact with Mahajan, an auto-parts seller, who incited him to sell duplicate spare parts as there was huge margin and introduced him to the supplier of duplicate spare parts, said Devesh Chandra Srivastva, ACP Central district.

Kapil, who used to travel by train with Sanjeev, got into this business after seeing the huge profit, he added.
