The three-day exhibit in the city, from January 24-27 will showcase new technologies and innovations in the field of agriculture, horticulture and also display new equipments, solar pumps, bio-mass pumps, tractors and others. Experts will give free advice to farmers on farming and allied subjects during the expo, Gadkari told reporters.
There will be about 40 workshops during the expo on various topics and farmers will be made aware of opportunities of growing onion, garlic, turmeric, grapes, sugarcane, oranges in a more scientific way to get more yield. Seed companies will also be displaying their products for the benefit of farmers, he added.
Agriculture Minister of Rwanda, Dr Agnis Kalibata, Maharashtra Agriculture Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Minister of State for Agriculture Vinay Kore in presence of Gadkari himself, will be opening the expo at Reshimbagh grounds here.
