The accident took place early this morning on Mora Road that leads to Hazira village on National Highway No. 6, where some construction work is going on, Hazira Police Inspector S J Baloch said.
The deceased were identified as Omprakash Jaswal (40), Dharmendra Kushwaha (31) and Ramashankar Yadav (34). They were morning shift workers, who were heading to their work place, police said adding that out of the total injured, six were in a serious condition.
The mini-bus rammed into the truck-trailer that was carrying iron angles, from behind in an attempt to overtake it, Baloch said.
The six seriously injured were admitted to Surat Civil Hospital, police said, adding that ten others were discharged after primary treatment.
