Three persons, including a woman, were injured as police fired pellet guns to chase away stone throwing protestors in Nowhatta area of the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir.
A group of youth indulged in stone-pelting on security forces posted on law and order duty around Nowhatta to protest the alleged human rights violations, including the Ramban firing incident.
The security forces fired tearsmoke shells and pellet guns to chase away the protestors, resulting in injuries to three persons including a woman, official sources said.
The sources said the injured persons have been hospitalised.
Peaceful protests were also reported from Abi Guzar area in Lal Chowk after Juma'at-ul-Vida (last Friday of fasting month of Ramadhan) prayers, they said.
Separatists in Kashmir have observed Juma'at-ul-Vida as 'Quds Day' to press the international community for resolution of Israel-Palestine issue and Kashmir issue.
