There were reports in a section of Pakistani media last night that a Pakistani prisoner Abdul Jabbar, who is lodged in Rohini jail, a part of Tihar jail, was attacked by fellow prisoners.
Tihar jail's Law Officer and spokesperson Sunil Kumar Gupta said the report was "false, frivolous and mischievous" and "there is no threat to the life of Jabbar."
The reports of attack came on the day when the body of Pakistani prisoner Sanaullah Ranjay, who died in a hospital in Chandigarh almost a week after he was attacked in a jail in Jammu, arrived in Pakistan.
