Comedian-actress Tina Fey has been reportedly ordered to pay the New York State Workers' Compensation Board USD 79,000 for not carrying the workers' compensation insurance.
The '30 Rock' star was ordered to pay the fine after officials filed a final notice judgment against her in the State Supreme Court in Manhattan last week for "having defaulted in payment" of her workers' compensation insurance, reported TMZ online.
According to legal documents, the board claims that Fey, 43, has not carried the insurance from November 2012 through last month.
The actress is herself listed on the documents instead of her production company, Little Stranger Inc.
The documents also show that Fey had previously appealed the fine, but a state lawyer pointed out that appeals before the Board had been exhausted. So, it was ruled she must pay the money.
