The two-day event is part of the TIST's effort s to make the students industry-ready by introducing novel academic programmes that are totally different from conventional study methodologies, a press release said here.
Around 400 MBA students from 50 colleges across Kerala took part in the competition titled 'De'Novo' which concluded at TIST's Arakkunnam campus today.
In the competition, the students donned the role of sales executives to sell products of various companies by pitching it to staff, parents and fellow students inside the campus. The money raised through the sales will be donated for various welfare and charity initiatives.
"Management students really need to know the market and basic techniques in marketing and sales," TIST principal Dr Vincent H Wilson said.
