District collector Neetu Kumari Prasad today said that the GAIL has donated the vehicle, worth Rs 9 lakh, which is fitted with modern medical equipment.
The collector received the ambulance from the company authorities and sent it to Rampachodvaram where it was subsequently handed over to the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) project Officer Gandham Chandrudu.
"The ambulance is fitted with sophisticated medical equipment worth Rs 2 lakh, to meet medical emergency," the collector said in a release.
Meanwhile, the GAIL authorities today handed over contribution of Rs 32 lakh through a cheque to the collector out of its total CSR contribution of Rs 1.10 crore. The company had earlier handed over a cheque of Rs 80 lakh.
