The incident took place, when one Rajesh Patidar (35) was taking out a motor pump from a 100-feet deep well with the help of a rope in his farm, Nalkheda police station inspector Y R Gaikwad said.
Suddenly the rope broke and he lost his balance and fell into the well. Seeing Rajesh, his elder brother Dinesh Patidar (40), who was around, jumped in the well, the officer said.
In the process, both Rajesh and Dinesh drowned. After post-mortem, their bodies were handed over to their family members, he said.
