Udayan Mane wins Tata Open Amateur C'ship

Karnataka Golf Association's Udayan Mane lifted the Tata Steel IGU Gujarat Open Amateur Championship after a fine final-round effort under overcast conditions at the par-72 Kalhaar Blues & Greens Golf Club today.
Mane started the day tied sixth with a 54-hole score of three-over with six pars and two birdies on the first eight holes before a bogey on the ninth to go out two-over for the week.
On the back-nine, he again began positively with three birdies before he bogeyed the par-four 15th which has bothered him all week. Another bogey on the 18th saw him finish with a winning score of one-over-par 289.

DLF Golf & Country Club's Manu Gandas maintained his overnight second place by turning in a card of two-over-par and 290 for the week. Tour veteran Simarjeet Singh had a very disappointing round of 10-over-par to finish in the sixth place.
Tollygunge Club's Viraj Mandappa grabbed third place with a score of three-over-par 291 after a tight final round of even par 72. Syed Saqib Ahmed (293) and Feroz Singh Garewal (294) complete the top-five.
