"The DGP has directed all the concerned officials to sent a proposal to police headquarter to utilised unused land of firing ranges that have come in residential areas," IG, Law and Order, B P Singh said.
He said that presently police had 25 firing ranges in different districts but all of them could not be used.
Directives have been issued to renovate existing firing ranges so that they could be used for firing practice of personnel, he said.
