IT services firm UST Global today said it will hire 5,000 people in India over the next three years as part of its expansion plans.
Besides, the company will also 'train and hire' 10,000 differently-abled individuals from India over this period under a separate programme.
UST Global today also signed a seven-year USD 30 million (about Rs 190 crore) deal with Madhya Pradesh government to provide digital services to 377 urban local bodies in the state.
As part of the deal, the California-based firm will help these local bodies provide facilities such as electronic bill payments and online filing of grievances to its citizens.
"Overall, it will support the state's projects in water, electricity, public health and transportation outlined in the Chief Minister's infrastructure development manifesto, Vision 2018," , UST Global said in a statement.
Commenting on the deal, UST Global CEO Sajan Pillai said: "We are delighted to partner with Madhya Pradesh to build a robust framework for good governance, accelerated economic growth and inclusive social development."
In addition to e-governance projects in India, UST Global is exploring potential in SMAC (social, mobility, analytics, cloud) and cyber security.
