Vijayalakshmi leads; Vaishali, Swati in second spot

International Master Vijayalakshmi Subbaraman of Air India maintained the lead with seven points after the eighth round of the 43rd National Women Challengers Chess Championship 2016 here today.
Vijayalakshmi showed greater experience in scoring over young Divya Lakshmi in the top board.
Following Vijayalakshmi at 6.5 points were Swati Ghate (LIC) and Vaishali R (TN) respectively.
While Swati got the better Pratyusha Bodda, Vaishali defeated Saranya.
