"On specific information, a police party in Akhnoor in a surprise check intercepted a lady identified as Surinder Kour. During search police recovered 35 pouches of illicit liquor from her possession," a police officer said.
"A case under various sections of the Excise Act has been registered and an investigation is underway," he said.
