The ordeal continued for several days as the victim was gangraped by all nine accused, they said.
After the incident, the victim approached the local court as no FIR was lodged in the case. The court then ordered that a case of gangrape be registered against the nine accused, police said.
The victim stated in her complaint that one Ashik along with his eight associates kidnapped her and then took turns in raping her. When she tried to protest, they threatened to kill her.
In a similar incident, a woman was allegedly gangraped for several days by one Jamshed along with his three associates. The incident took place on March 11, Police Station officer, Kotwali Raja Ka Rampur, Devendra Shanker Pandey said.
An FIR has been registered in the matter, but no arrests have been made so far, he added.
