Woman injured as FM's escort vehicle hits her

A 60-year-old woman was injured when the escort vehicle of Finance Minister P Chidambaram hit her near Madakupatti in the district today.
Police said the woman was admitted to the Sivaganga government hospital.
The minister's son Karthik Chidambaram visited her at the hospital and gave her some financial assistance, they said.
