According to the complainant Pankaj Nanwani, resident of Shivaji Nagar area, three youths barged into his house at about 4 pm yesterday and robbed his mother Mantrabai's gold mangalsutra worth Rs 30,000.
They then escaped on a motorbike. The bike's registration number was found to be fake.
Some youths in the area gave them chase, but the culprits forced them to back off at the point of revolver and fled.
Nanwani is the president of District Chemist and Druggist Association.
