Woman shot at in capital

her husband, was today shot at by an unknown motorcycle-borne assailant here, police said.

Pinky, 26, received bullet injuries in the leg when the accused fired at her around 11.30 am at Tagore Garden Extension in west Delhi, they said, adding that it could be the handiwork of her estranged husband.

The family members told police that the victim, living separately from her husband for the last six months, was being threatened by him and , they said.

Her spouse was absconding since the matter was reported to police, they said.

The woman was stated to be out of danger and was recuperating at a hospital in the area, they said.
