Young couple commits suicide by shooting themselves in Mathura

Upset over their love affair gone awry, a young couple today allegedly committed suicide by shooting themselves in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura district, police said.
According to police district officer Anil Kumar Yadav, a suicide note was recovered from the site and the bodies have been sent for post mortem.
The deceased Sonveer Singh (24), a resident of Mitholi village under Naujheel police station area, was staying at a rented accommodation in Mathura where he was pursuing basic teaching certificate (BTC).
He was in a relationship with 20-year-old Jyoti, a resident of Chanpur village in Naujheel area. She too was staying with her younger sister here and pursuing BSc first year.

Yadav said, Sonveer suspected Jyoti of having an affair with someone else and they were having differences over this for sometime. Following an argument today they allegedly committed suicide by shooting themselves.
The bodies have been handed over to the families.
